Paul Menard fastest in second Kansas practice

Paul Menard was fastest in the second Sprint Cup practice session at Kansas Speedway for the Hollywood Casino 400.

Menard posted a top speed at 184.672 mph.

Menard was followed by Kevin Harvick (184.376), Kyle Larson (184.024), Chase Elliott (183.955) and Matt Kenseth (183.617).

Jimmie Johnson was the slowest of the Chase for the Sprint Cup drivers, with the 25th-fastest speed.

Kyle Busch recorded the most laps (44) in the session and had the best 10-lap average at 182.530 mph.

Kyle Busch was fastest in the first Sprint Cup practice session at Kansas Speedway, putting up a top speed of 194.595 mph.

Busch was fastest despite NASCAR penalizing his team 30 minutes of practice time for swerving at the end of last week’s Charlotte race.

Following the No. 18 was Kurt Busch (194.119), Carl Edwards (194.098), Alex Bowman  (194.070) and Chase Elliott (194.056).

Chase driver Austin Dillon was 28th fastest and Brad Keselowski was 32nd.

Denny Hamlin, Aric Almirola, Danica Patrick and Kasey Kahne recorded the most laps in the session with 18.

Kevin Harvick fastest in first Bank of America 500 practice

Kevin Harvick had the fastest speed in the first Sprint Cup practice session for the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Harvick posted a speed of 193.757 mph around the 1.5-mile track. He was the only driver to top 193 mph.

The No. 4 team was followed by Alex Bowman (192.885), Coke 600 winner Martin Truex Jr. (192.623), Kyle Busch (192.548) and Denny Hamlin (192.219).

Danica Patrick (45) and Kyle Larson (42) recorded the most laps in the session.

Kasey Kahne had the best 10-lap average at 188.561 mph.

Kyle Larson tops first Sprint Cup practice at New Hampshire

Kyle Larson was the fastest driver in the first Sprint Cup practice at New Hampshire for the Bad Boy Off Road 300.

Larson put down a top speed of 135.941 mph.

The No. 42 continues the speed it showed at Chicagoland Speedway where it led two of three practice sessions.

Larson was followed by Chase Elliott (135.893), Kevin Harvick (135.757), Carl Edwards (135.738) and Martin Truex Jr. (135.709).

Kasey Kahne and Danica Patrick were the only drivers to run 10 consecutive laps.

Alex Bowman, driving the No. 88 of Dale Earnhardt Jr., recorded the most laps at 34.

The session was red flagged once with about 10 minutes left when Austin Dillon, a Chase driver, lost control of his No. 3 Chevrolet and hit the wall in Turn 1. Dillon will go to a backup car for the rest of the weekend.

Kyle Larson fastest in final Sprint Cup practice at Chicago

Kyle Larson completed a sweep of Saturday’s Sprint Cup practice sessions, finishing the final session at Chicagoland Speedway with a fast time of 183.299 mph.

Jimmie Johnson had the best 10-lap average at 179.687 mph and was followed by Chase Elliott .

Following Larson was Chase Elliott (182.883), Kyle Busch (182.828), Carl Edwards (182.624) and Kurt Busch (182.482)
