Hendrick Motorsports crew chief Chad Knaus and his wife Brooke welcomed a baby girl on Wednesday.
Brooke Knaus posted on Instagram Thursday announcing the birth of Vivienne Mae Knaus.
She is the second child for the couple, joining their son Kipling who was born in 2018.
“We’re proud to welcome into this world our daughter, Vivienne Mae Knaus,” Brooke said in the post. “She was born on July 29 at 4:48pm at 7 lbs 14 oz and 20.5 inches. She is healthy, happy, and eager to meet her big brother Kipling.”
Knaus, crew chief for William Byron‘s No. 24 Chevrolet, did not attend last Thursday’s Cup race at Kansas Speedway in anticipation of Vivienne’s birth.
Byron finished 10th.
Seven-time NASCAR Cup champion crew chief Chad Knaus and wife Brooke are expecting their second child.
Brooke made the announcement Saturday on her Instagram account.
The couple, already parents to one-year-old son Kip, will soon be adding a daughter to their growing family.
Brooke Knaus’s Instagram post said the baby is due in July.

Chad Knaus is in his 17th season as Jimmie Johnson‘s crew chief. They’ve won seven championships together, leaving Knaus one behind the all-time record for a crew chief. Dale Inman won eight championships — seven with Richard Petty and one with Terry Labonte.
