Cup and Xfinity Series team continue their respective playoffs this weekend with a visit to Kansas Speedway.
Both series will visit the 1.5-mile track with the same tire codes on each side of the car.
The left-side tire code will be new for Cup teams at Kansas. Both right and left-side tires codes are new for Xfinity Series teams at Kansas. They feature a construction update on both sides of the car and move from a multi-zone tread on the right-side to a single zone tread compound, compared to last year.
The right-side code has been used by both series this season at Kentucky, Las Vegas, Michigan and Texas.
“What we have seen Kansas over the past several races is that the track surface has weathered a bit and will wear tires,” Greg Stucker, Goodyear’s director of racing, said in a press release. “This right-side tire is also designed to lay rubber, so that will lead to the track changing throughout the weekend as multiple racing grooves are created.”
Here is the tire info for this weekend at Kansas.
