A flat tire during qualifying forced Kyle Larson to the back of the field at Chicagoland, but Larson worked his way back to the front and drove to victory lane ahead of Kevin Harvick.

Kyle Larson passed Kevin Harvick on a long green flag run Saturday and led 48 of the final 59 laps in the Overton’s 300 at Chicagoland Speedway, scoring his 10th Xfinity victory in his 105th series start.

Harvick finished second, 8.030 seconds in arrears.

Cole Custer came from the back of the field (because of an unapproved tire change) to finish third as the top Xfinity regular.

Daniel Suarez and Daniel Hemric rounded out the top five.

Custer’s third-place finish elevated him to the points lead by only three points over fifth-place finisher Hemric.

With a sixth-place finish at Chicagoland, Elliott Sadler fell to third in the standings, one point behind Hemric.

Rookies Christopher Bell and Tyler Reddick rounded out the top five in the rankings.
