CONCORD, North Carolina -- Johnny Sauter won the Camping World Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway in a 10-lap shootout.

Sauter claimed his third win of the year and his first at the 1.5-mile track in his 10th start.

“This is the biggest win of my life!” Sauter told his team over the radio after taking the checkered flag. It’s his 20th win the Truck Series.

“It’s a tough place, everybody wants to win here,” Sauter told Fox Sports 1. “I never though I’d win here. I’ve had good runs here and I’ve had very humbling runs here to say the least.”

The GMS Racing driver streaked to the win as the field fought for position behind him. He led 71 laps and beat Kyle Busch, Brandon Jones, Brett Moffitt and Ben Rhodes.

It’s his second win in the last three races.

STAGE 1 WINNER: Brett Moffitt

STAGE 2 WINNER: John Hunter Nemechek

MORE: Race results, point standings

WHO HAD A GOOD DAY: Kyle Busch finished second after having to come through the field twice after penalties for his crew going over the wall too soon ... Brandon Jones placed third for his eighth career top five ... Brett Moffitt earned his fourth top five of the year ... Parker Kligerman placed seventh for his first top 10 of the season.

WHO HAD A BAD DAY: Grant Enfinger finished 12th after he lost a tire with 10 laps to go in Stage 1 … Justin Fontaine finished 19th after a single-car wreck with 54 laps to go … Matt Crafton finished seventh after an incident with Todd Gilliland on a restart with 17 to go. Crafton was rammed from behind by Gilliland and began smoking, forcing him to pit for repairs.

NOTABLE: Sauter is the sixth driver in series history to win three or more races in the first seven races of the season.

QUOTE OF THE NIGHT: “Pure talent. That’s about it. I don’t know, my pit crew did absolutely nothing to help me out tonight. My truck drove like (expletive). These splitters are absolutely horrendous. You can’t pass in traffic. You can’t race alongside anybody. You can’t get within five truck lengths of no one. But somehow, someway I was able to get back to the front. Had a blast.” - Kyle Busch on how he came back from two pit penalties.

WHAT’S NEXT: Rattlesnake 400 at Texas Motor Speedway at 9 p.m. ET on June 8 on FS1.
