Pole-sitter Kyle Larson is among three cars going to the rear because of inspection issues, NASCAR announced about an hour before Sunday’s Cup race at Dover International Speedway.
Larson and Bowman are going to the rear because their cars failed inspection three times before the race. NASCAR also ejected the car chief for the teams of Larson and Bowman. Both teams also will miss 30 minutes of practice next week at Kansas Speedway. Bowman was to have started 15th.
NASCAR stated that Dillon’s car was penalized for noncompliant splitter.
Dillon was to have started 27th in the 38-car field.
