Xfinity practice report at Dover

Final practice

Christopher Bell posted the fastest lap in final practice for Saturday’s Xfinity race at Dover International Speedway.

His lap of 152.665 mph was .221 seconds better than Elliott Sadler (151.248 mph).

Tyler Reddick (150.981), Austin Cindric (150.584) and Matt Tifft rounded out the top five.

On his first lap of final practice, John Hunter Nemechek spun in turn four and hit the inside wall on the front straightaway. He rolled out a backup car and posted the 19th fastest lap of 148.429 mph.

Noah Gragson ran the most laps at 48.

Tyler Reddick had the quickest 10-lap average with a speed of 149.434 mph.

Gragson was second on this chart at 148.931 mph.

First practice

Gragson recorded the fastest lap in Friday’s opening Xfinity practice.

Gragson led the way with a lap of 153.420 mph. He was followed by Cole Custer (153.244 mph), Dash 4 Cash driver Brandon Jones (153.191), Nemechek (153.042) and Reddick (153.003).

Cody Ware struck the wall late in the session in Mike Harmon’s car.

Kaz Grala and Nemechek ran the most laps at 35.

Nemechek had the best average over 10 consecutive laps at 152.121 mph. He was one of four drivers to run 10 consecutive laps as most drivers focused on qualifying setups.
