NASCAR moves start of Saturday’s Xfinity race up an hour

NASCAR has moved the starting time of Saturday’s Xfinity race at Dover International Speedway up an hour to 12:30 p.m. ET because of the threat of rain.

NASCAR can change the start time up to 24 hours before an event.

The National Weather Service calls for the chance of rain Saturday afternoon at Dover.

NASCAR also stated that its entire Saturday schedule has been moved up an hour.

Cup practice now will be from 8:30 - 9:20 a.m. ET. Xfinity qualifying will be at 9:35 a.m. ET. Final Cup practice will be from 11-11:50 a.m. ET
