After his third win at Talladega in his last six races, Joey Logano explains why he's simply ecstatic to be back in victory lane.

With a 13th-place finish in the Geico 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, Kyle Busch saw his points lead in the NASCAR Cup series cut to 30 markers over Joey Logano.

Logano’s victory in the Geico 500 not only moved him closer to the points lead but earned a spot in the 2018 playoffs.

Third-place Kevin Harvick and fourth-place Clint Bowyer have also been victorious in 2018 and secured their playoff berths.

That leaves fifth-place Kurt Busch as the driver highest in the points without a win this year. Busch finished second in the Geico 500.

Austin Dillon was involved in the Lap 166 crash that collected 14 cars. He retired in 35th. Earning only two points at Talladega, Dillon fell to 17th in the standings.

That moves the playoff bubble to the 15th spot, which is occupied by Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
