BRISTOL, Tenn. - NASCAR announced that the Food City 500 has been postponed to Monday. The race is scheduled to resume at 1 p.m. ET.

The race will air on Fox.

The wunderground.com forecast calls for a high of 39 degrees and an eight percent chance of rain at 1 p.m. ET. The chance of rain decreases afterward.

The garage will open at 10 a.m. ET. Spectator gates will open at 11:30 a.m. ET.

The race was stopped for the third time by rain after Lap 204 of 500. Kyle Larson leads. Denny Hamlin is second and is followed by Paul Menard, Kyle Busch and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Joey Logano is sixth, Daniel Suarez seventh, Jimmie Johnson eighth, Kevin Harvick ninth and Austin Dillon 10th.

A forecast of rain the rest of the night left NASCAR with little choice but to postpone the race.

The three red flags for rain stopped the race for a total of 58 minutes, 48 seconds.

Five cars have been eliminated. Ryan Blaney, who led 100 of the opening 117 laps, saw his race end when he was collected in a six-car crash.
