NASCAR America at 6 p.m. ET: Recapping the championship weekend in Miami

Today’s episode of NASCAR America airs from 6-7 p.m. ET on NBCSN and recaps all the championship action from Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Carolyn Manno hosts with Parker Kligerman in Stamford, Connecticut. Dale Jarrett joins them from NBC Charlotte.

What to expect from the show

  • A season filled with triumphs and heartache ended in celebration for Martin Truex Jr. and Furniture Row Racing, as they won the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Championship last night at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Truex dominated all season, but his win on Sunday wasn’t easy. We’ll hear from Truex on how he was able to stay ahead of Kyle Busch in the final laps, and what this title means to him, girlfriend Sherry Pollex and the FRR crew.
  • The other three title contenders also had their chances to come out on top Sunday. We’ll hear from runner-up Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, and Brad Keselowski - all of whom will have to wait another year for their second Cup Series crown.
  • Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished 25th in his final race as a full-time driver, but the result didn’t matter on a day of emotion and reflection for his remarkable career. We’ll hear his pre-race address to the fans and his post-race thoughts after he climbed out of the No. 88 for the last time.
