Denny Hamlin is fastest in final NASCAR Cup practice at Texas

Denny Hamlin was at the top of the speed chart in the final NASCAR Cup practice session Saturday at Texas Motor Speedway.

Hamlin covered the 1.5-mile oval at 191.469 mph.

Erik Jones was second (190.860), followed by Ryan Blaney 9190.691), Daniel Suarez (190.685), Martin Truex Jr. (190.617), Kyle Larson (190.375), pole sitter Kurt Busch (190.375), Kevin Harvick (190.349), Kyle Busch (190.134) and Matt Kenseth (190.107), who announced earlier today that he doesn’t expect to be racing in the 2018 NASCAR Cup season.
