NASCAR America at 5:30 p.m. ET: Scan all and guests Matt Tifft, Brennan Poole

Today’s episode of NASCAR America is once again 90 minutes and begins at 5:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Leigh Diffey hosts with Dale Jarrett in Stamford, Connecticut. Kyle Petty and Slugger Labbe join them with guest drivers Matt Tifft and Brennan Poole at NBC Charlotte.

What to expect from today’s show:

· The big news of the day comes from Hendrick Motorsports, which has made another move toward the future with a four-year contract extension for Chase Elliott. We’ll have more on the deal that will keep the sophomore star at Hendrick through 2022.

· Across all three NASCAR national series, we’ve seen multiple first-time winners this season. Three of them come from the Monster Energy Cup Series – Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Austin Dillon, and Ryan Blaney. But which of the three have kept up the pace since their victories?

· Xfinity Series drivers Matt Tifft and Brennan Poole join today’s show to talk about how the series plans to honor our nation’s military Friday at Daytona as part of “NASCAR Salutes.”

· Twelve turns and 160 feet of elevation changes led to plenty of drama Sunday in wine country. We’ve got all the best radio sounds from the first road race of the season in Scan All Sonoma.
