In the wake of recent speculation, Charlotte Motor Speedway is prepared to reveal the format of the 2017 All-Star Race next week.

The track will hold a news conference Tuesday, April 11 to reveal the details of the event, which will be under the auspices of a new title sponsor in Monster Energy.

Kurt Busch and Kyle Larson are slated to attend along with NASCAR executive vice president and chief racing development officer Steve O’Donnell and Charlotte Motor Speedway president Marcus Smith.

NBCSports.com’s NASCAR editor Dustin Long reported last Friday from Martinsville Speedway that the May 20 race would feature some changes.

The NASCAR Drivers Council has been involved with suggestions in this year’s event and more could be on the horizon for 2018
