Joe Gibbs Racing has added former NASCAR Next member Kyle Benjamin to its 2017 driver roster in the Xfinity Series.

Benjamin, 19, will drive in four Xfinity races for JGR beginning April 29 at Richmond International Raceway in the No. 20 car. He will drive it again June 10 at Pocono Raceway. The final two races, July 29 at Iowa Speedway and Sept. 23 at Kentucky Speedway, will be in the No. 19 car.

A native of Easley, South Carolina, Benjamin was a member of the 2015-2016 NASCAR Next class. He competed full time in the K&N Pro Series East the last two years, earning four wins. He also has made 20 ARCA Racing Series with two wins in 2013.

“I’m thrilled for the opportunity to drive a Toyota in the Xfinity Series for Joe Gibbs Racing,” Benjamin said in a press release. “This is going to be an incredible experience. JGR is a first-class organization, and I’m looking forward to learning about how they operate and prepare for each race.”
