Martin Truex Jr. is flying back out west today for this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Phoenix Raceway and he had one request.

He wanted to sit in the same seat on Jamie McMurray’s plane that he rode in last week.

Truex is hitching a ride with McMurray for the second week in a row and is hoping for the same result.

Last week at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Truex and his No. 78 Furniture Row Racing team became the first team to sweep the first two stages of a race and then win the race outright. It was Truex’s eighth Cup win and his sixth in the last three seasons.

McMurray tweeted out a photo of Truex enjoying the flight out to Arizona for the Camping World 500.

If Truex’s superstition plays out Sunday, McMurray will once again be left waiting on the tarmac for the race winner.
