Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook, visited Hendrick Motorsports on Tuesday as part of his personal challenge to have visited and met people in every state by the end of the year.
Doug Duchardt, general manager of Hendrick Motorsports, led Zuckerberg on a tour of the team’s campus in Concord, N.C. Hendrick Motorsports has won 12 NASCAR Cup titles, including last year with Jimmie Johnson.
North Carolina is one of 30 states Zuckerberg will travel to in 2017 to complete his quest. On trips to other states this year, he’s gone to various places from universities and local businesses to other important significant locales to meet people.
