Roush Fenway Racing is in a tight spot. It enters the 2017 NASCAR Cup season without a win since 2014 and it will field jsut two cars for the first time since 1995.
Trevor Bayne and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. are now the faces of the team after the departure of Greg Biffle, who had been with Roush since 1998.
NASCAR on NBC analyst Steve Letarte gave his view of what Roush Fenway is going up against this season.
“When you look at their driver line (they have) one win,” Letarte said, referring to Trevor Bayne’s 2011 Daytona 500 win. “I think that might actually help this team. ... I think the fact they’re going with two young drivers, they might be able to align the expectations to their performance.”
