New season for NASCAR America begins today live at 6 pm ET: Dale Jr.'s return, 2017 enhancements

NASCAR America returns for its fourth season today on NBCSN.

The season premiere airs from 6 to 6:30 p.m. ET, with hosts Carolyn Manno and Dale Jarrett in our Stamford, Connecticut studio, while Jeff Burton will join us from Burton’s Garage near Charlotte.

On today’s show, we’ll talk about:

* Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s return to racing. Earnhardt missed the entire second half of last season recovering from concussion symptoms.

We’ll examine what Earnhardt’s return means to NASCAR and its fans, as well as what his chances are for a third Daytona 500 win.

* We’ll also reflect back on several storylines from the offseason, including the race and points enhancements to all three national series. And with Speedweeks starting this week in Daytona, Burton and Jarrett will break down what should be expected this season.

If you can’t catch the show on TV, you also can watch it via the online stream at http://nascarstream.nbcsports.com
