UPDATED: It’s Super Bowl Sunday and the NASCAR world is choosing sides

Super Bowl LI (also known as Super Bowl 51) is underway in Houston.

A quick check of social media shows NASCAR on NBC analyst and former crew chief Steve Letarte taking things seriously with his allegiance to the Patriots.

Fellow Pats fan Joey Logano -- who, like Letarte, is at the game -- may be feeling a bit down.

Logano posted a poll to find out who his Twitter followers were pulling for in the big game -- and unfortunately, more are pulling for the rival Falcons than Logano’s Patriots.

We also have some tweets from Elliott Sadler, NASCAR on NBC analyst Jeff Burton, Kenny Wallace, Kasey Kahne, David Ragan, Samantha and Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick and others. Even the Pope weighed in (via Max Papis).
