“She’s a marketing tool and a media whore.”

“You can tell by the way she talks she’s a Class-A -----.”

While Danica Patrick says the above statements and more in a new video from “The Players’ Tribune,” the insults are about the NASCAR driver.

The Stewart-Haas Racing driver is one of many athletes who are part of the website’s “Stand Up” campaign with American Family Insurance. You can watch the video, which contains explicit language, at theplayerstribune.com.

The campaign “harnesses the power of the biggest names in sports in support of the ideals of unity, togetherness and love.”

The video takes a serious approach to the premise made famous by the Jimmy Kimmel Live’s “Mean Tweets.”

Patrick, Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, NFL linebacker Von Miller and others address the camera and deliver abusive messages that have been posted on social media about them before discussing how they’ve learned to deal them.

“People say such mean things all you can do is laugh,” Patrick says. “I think a way that you can quietly stand up is that you don’t let it affect you, because that’s what they want.”
