Harrison Burton, the son of NBC Sports analyst Jeff Burton, was victorious Sunday in SpeedFest 2017, a super late model race held at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Georgia.
The 200-lap event marked the beginning of the 2017 season for the Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS.
Burton, a member of the NASCAR NEXT program, beat pole-sitter Erik Jones for the win. Jones, competing for Furniture Row Racing this season in the Cup Series, sat on the pole.
