Harrison Burton, the son of NBC Sports analyst Jeff Burton, was victorious Sunday in SpeedFest 2017, a super late model race held at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Georgia.
The 200-lap event marked the beginning of the 2017 season for the Champion Racing Association Powered by JEGS.
Burton, a member of the NASCAR NEXT program, beat pole-sitter Erik Jones for the win. Jones, competing for Furniture Row Racing this season in the Cup Series, sat on the pole.

The 16-year-old driver narrowly lost the race last year.
Other NASCAR drivers in the race included Xfinity driver Brandon Jones and Spencer Gallagher.
This year Burton will drive in six Camping World Truck Series races for Kyle Busch Motorsports.
