The No. 88 of Dale Earnhardt Jr. will have Nationwide Insurance as its primary sponsor for 20 points races this season, plus the Advanced Auto Parts Clash at Daytona International Speedway.
Nationwide sponsored the No. 88 in 21 points races last season. Earnhardt drove in 12 of those before he was sidelined for the rest of the season due to a concussion and replaced by Jeff Gordon and Alex Bowman.
Bowman will be driving the No. 88 in the Clash after becoming eligible for the Feb. 18 exhibition race through his pole at Phoenix International Raceway last November.
Among the 20 races Earnhardt will have Nationwide on his car are the Daytona 500 (Feb. 26), the Coca-Cola 600 (May 28), the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona (July 1), the Brickyard 400 (July 23), the Southern 500 (Sept. 3) and in six playoff races (New Hampshire II, Dover II, Kansas II, Martinsville II, Texas II and Phoenix II).
