In light of Monday’s announcement of enhancements to the points format, Roush Fenway Racing president Steve Newmark is especially keen on how strategies will change for teams, particularly with the move to three stages in each race.
“Everyone moved towards the singular objective of moving the product forward,” Newmark said. “The passion everyone exhibited (was evident). … All of us are fans. This new format injects infinite numbers of strategies. That gets more exposure for our partners and sponsors.”
