After competing in four Camping World Truck Series races in each of the last two seasons, Kyle Busch is increasing his workload by one race in 2017.

Busch, who has 46 Truck series wins, will compete in five races in 2017 driving the No. 51 Toyota Tundra. Busch will be sponsored by Textron Aviation’s Cessna, Hawker and Beechcraft brands.

Busch will race on March 4 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, May 12 at Kansas Speedway, May 20 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, July 29 at Pocono Raceway and Aug. 12 at Michigan International Speedway.

“We are very excited to have Textron Aviation and the Cessna, Hawker and Beechcraft brands as new partners for my five races in the Truck Series for 2017,” Busch said in a press release. “Textron Aviation’s commitment to multiple teams across multiple levels in NASCAR shows that they are a company that knows how to build successful programs and I’m looking forward to seeing our program take off at Atlanta.”

The race count increase for Busch comes after NASCAR announced new rules earlier this year limiting the amount of lower-tier races Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers can compete in.

Drivers who have been competing in the Cup Series for five or more years can only drive in seven regular season Truck Series races. Busch hasn’t competed in more than four races since he made 10 starts in 2014.
