HOMESTEAD, Fla. – Jimmie Johnson‘s bid for a record-tying seventh NASCAR Sprint Cup championship will have a more challenging path after NASCAR placed him at the back of the 40-car field.
Johnson was to have started 14th but was moved to the back of the field for unapproved adjustments. NBC Sports’ Mike Massaro reported that a NASCAR official told him that the team had to fix the A-post after manipulating it after going through inspection.
Today’s race can be seen on NBC.
NBCSN is showing the title contenders during the race.
