Wilmer Valderrama, star of the TV drama series NCIS, will be the honorary starter for Sunday’s Ford EcoBoost 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup championship-deciding race, which will be televised live on NBC.

Homestead-Miami Speedway officials made the announcement Saturday morning.

“I’ve always been a fan of racing so being an Honorary Starter for a NASCAR race is incredible,” Valderrama said in a media release. “I’m looking forward to waving the green flag and hearing the cars fly by as they compete for the 2016 Sprint Cup Series championship.”

Valderrama plays special agent Nick Torres on NCIS, as well as is a regular on Netflix’s comedy “The Ranch.” He previously starred in “That ‘70s Show,” “Minority Report,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series.”

He will also be the voice of Prince Charming in the upcoming animated film “Charming.”

Other pre-race activities include a concert by The Band Perry.
