Today’s Xfinity race at Texas: Start time, weather, TV/radio info

The Xfinity Series runs the middle race of the Round of 8 after a two-week break. No Xfinity driver has clinched a spot in the championship round at Homestead-Miami Speedway, leading into today’s race.

Here is all the important info for today’s race.

(All times are Eastern)

START: Jennifer Pruett, CFO for Just Brakes, will give the command to start engines at 3:26 p.m. The green flag is scheduled for 3:35 p.m.

DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 200 laps (300 miles) around the 1.5-mile track.

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Xfinity garage opens at 8:30 a.m. The driver/crew chief meeting is at 1:15 p.m. Driver introductions are at 2:35 p.m.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Lexi Dilucia will perform the National Anthem at 3:20 p.m.

TV/RADIO: NBC will broadcast the race with its coverage beginning at 3:30 p.m. Performance Racing Network’s radio broadcast begins at 2:30 p.m. and also can be heard at goprn.com. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will have PRN’s broadcast.

FORECAST: The wunderground.com site predicts a temperature of 71 degrees with a zero percent chance of rain at the start of the race.

LAST TIME: Kyle Busch won this race in April after leading 150 of 200 laps. Erik Jones was second and Brad Keselowski was third. Keselowski won this race last fall. Kevin Harvick placed second and Austin Dillon third.
