Get ready for the final short track race of the year, the final time to see a lot of bumping, beating and banging.

Today’s race begins the Round of 8, which will set the field for the championship finale in Miami.

Here’s all the important info for today’s race.

(All times are Eastern)

START: “Lucifer” star Tricia Helfer will give the command to start engines at 1:07 p.m. The green flag is scheduled for 1:13 p.m.

DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 500 laps (263 miles) around the .526-mile track.

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Cup garage opens at 7 a.m. The driver/crew chief meeting is at 11 a.m.. Driver introductions are at 12:30 p.m.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Wake Forest University’s Spirit of the Old Gold and Black Marching Band, will perform the National Anthem at 1:01 p.m.

TV/RADIO: NBCSN will broadcast the race with its coverage beginning at noon with NASCAR America. Countdown to Green follows at 12:30 p.m. Race coverage begins at 1 p.m. Motor Racing Network’s radio broadcast begins at noon and also can be heard at mrn.com. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will have MRN’s broadcast.

FORECAST: The wunderground.com site predicts a temperature of 78 degrees with a zero percent chance of rain at the start of the race.

LAST TIME: Kyle Busch led 352 of 500 laps to win at this track in April. AJ Allmendinger placed second. Kyle Larson was third. In this race last year, Jeff Gordon won. The race was as memorable for Matt Kenseth intentionally wrecking Joey Logano as Logano led.
