Today’s Sprint Cup, Xfinity races at Charlotte: Start time, weather, TV

After rain washed out Friday’s Xfinity race and Saturday’s Sprint Cup race at Charlotte Motor Speedway, NASCAR is set for its second consecutive doubleheader Sunday.

Here is all the information for both of today’s races.

SPRINT CUP BANK OF AMERICA 500

(All times are Eastern)

START: The command will be given at 11:54 a.m. by Bank of America special guests, the USO of North Carolina. The green flag is scheduled to wave at 12:05 p.m.

DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 334 laps (500 miles) around the 1.5-mile track.

COMPETITION CAUTION: Lap 25

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Cup garage opens at 7 a.m. The driver/crew chief meeting is at 10 a.m. Driver introductions are at 11:15 a.m.
NATIONAL ANTHEM: Danielle Peck will perform the National Anthem at 11:48 a.m.

TV/RADIO: NBC will broadcast the race. Coverage begins at 11 a.m. on NBCSN with NASCAR America. Countdown to Green airs at 11:30 a.m. on NBCSN. Race coverage on NBC begins at noon. Performance Racing Network’s radio broadcast begins at 11 a.m. and also can be heard at goprn.com. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will have PRN’s broadcast.

FORECAST: The wunderground.com site predicts a temperature of 67 degrees at race time with a zero percent chance of rain at the start of the race.

LAST TIME: Martin Truex Jr. led 392 of 400 laps to win the Coca-Cola 600 in May. Kevin Harvick placed second. Jimmie Johnson was third. In this race a year ago, Joey Logano won. Harvick was second and Truex third.

XFINITY SERIES DRIVE FOR THE CURE 300

START: The command to start engines is scheduled to be given 36 minutes after the Sprint Cup race. The race is scheduled to begin about 45 minutes after the completion of the Sprint Cup race.

DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 200 laps (300 miles) around the 1.5-mile track.

COMPETITION CAUTION: Lap 25

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Xfinity garage opens at 11 a.m. The driver/crew chief meeting is at 11 a.m. Driver introductions are scheduled to begin 14 minutes after the Sprint Cup race.

TV/RADIO: NBCSN will broadcast the race. Performance Racing Network will air the race on radio. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will have PRN’s broadcast.

FORECAST: The wunderground.com site predicts a temperature of 73 degrees and a zero percent chance of rain for the start of the race.
