Kurt Busch did what he needed to survive and advance to the Round of 12 beginning in Charlotte, but Busch says he’ll need to perform better with Talladega looming ahead. Busch set a record for most races to start a season finishing on the lead lap. But since July, he only has two top-five finishes.
“We did our job, we advanced to the next round,’' Busch said. “We know we need to get better.’'
