DOVER, Del. — Justin Marks slammed into the SAFER barrier after contact from race winner Daniel Suarez to bring out the caution on Lap 139 of Sunday morning’s Xfinity race at Dover International Speedway.
Marks was uninjured in the incident.
He was hit from behind by Suarez and shot up the track, crashing into the energy-absorbing wall. The car bounced off the barrier and got airborne before coming down the track.
Marks said: “I don’t think he did anything stupid. I think it was a pretty optimistic move.”
Suarez went on to score his second win of the season.
