A frustrated Erik Jones talks about what went wrong for him and his team in the XFINITY Series Chase's Drive Sober 200 at Dover.

Erik Jones left Dover International Speedway frustrated after finishing 16th in Sunday’s Xfinity Series race.

Jones fought an ill-handling car throughout the race. He pitted out of sequence on Lap 99 because he was worried about his right-front tire. That later forced him to pit with less than 10 laps left for two seconds of fuel to make it to the finish.

Afterward, Jones said: “Just kind of an embarrassing day.’’

Jones is 10th in the standings, four points behind Brennan Poole, who is eighth and holds the final transfer spot. The 12-driver field will be cut to eight after Friday night’s race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
