DOVER, Del. -- Saturday’s Driver Sober 200 Xfinity Series race became the latest event of the weekend to be impacted by rain at Dover International Speedway.
As of 3:30 p.m., the 1-mile oval still was being dried after a persistent mist scuttled plans to start the 200-lap race at 3:06 p.m.
The delay came on the heels of the final Sprint Cup practice session being canceled because of rain. Saturday’s first Sprint Cup practice was shortened by 15 minutes because of inclement weather.
Friday’s Sprint Cup qualifying session also was canceled by rain, setting the field of Sunday’s Citizen Soldier 400 by the points standings.
Here is the starting lineup for Saturday’s rain-delayed event. The race is the second in the inaugural Chase in the Xfinity Series.
