NASCAR announced that five Sprint Cup teams, including Kevin Harvick’s, will lose their pit stall pick for Sunday’s race at Dover International Speedway after they each received their fourth warning Friday.

A team loses its pit stall pick for every fourth warning.

The teams that received a fourth warning Friday for going through inspection too many times were those of Jeff Gordon, AJ Allmendinger, Paul Menard, Michael Annett and Harvick.

Harvick will get first choice among those five teams because he is highest in the points. Harvick’s win last week advances him to the next round, so this penalty won’t hurt him in that sense. It could impact his chances of winning the race. Dover has one of the tightest pit roads on the circuit.
