DOVER, Del. — Seventeen-year-old Justin Haley won the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East title by finishing fourth in Friday’s Dover 125 at Dover International Speedway.

Kyle Benjamin scored his third victory in the last five races. Jesse Little was second. Dominique Van Wieringen placed third.

Haley, the nephew of NASCAR team owner Todd Braun, is the only series driver to have finished in the top 10 in all 14 races this year. He finished sixth in the standings last year.

“It’s been a long way coming,’' Haley said. “I’m very fortunate and blessed. Now all the stress and all that is lifted.’'

Benjamin won the race under caution. Ali Kern and Chad Finchum crashed after the leaders took the white flag to begin the final lap in a race extended one circuit by overtime.

This is the fourth consecutive series title for car owner Harry Scott, co-owner of HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks.

So what’s next for Haley?

“I’m not sure,’' he said with a smile. “Hopefully something good.’'

The race will be shown at 12:30 p.m. ET on Oct. 6 on NBCSN.
