DOVER, Del. — Seventeen-year-old Justin Haley won the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East title by finishing fourth in Friday’s Dover 125 at Dover International Speedway.
Haley, the nephew of NASCAR team owner Todd Braun, is the only series driver to have finished in the top 10 in all 14 races this year. He finished sixth in the standings last year.
“It’s been a long way coming,” Haley said. “I’m very fortunate and blessed. Now all the stress and all that is lifted.”
This is the fourth consecutive series title for car owner Harry Scott, co-owner of HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks.
So what’s next for Haley?
“I’m not sure,” he said with a smile. “Hopefully something good.”
The race will be shown at 12:30 p.m. ET on Oct. 6 on NBCSN.
