The NASCAR America crew breaks down some of the new penalties announced on Tuesday about failing post-race inspections.

NASCAR announced significant rule changes Wednesday as the Sprint Cup Series gears up for the 2016 Chase.

Included in the bulletin sent to teams, a win will not count towards Chase advancement should their car fail the post-race Laser Inspection Station by a significant amount or if there are not enough lug nuts secured on the wheel. The changes will go into effect immediately.

It’s being described as an encumbered race finish. The NASCAR America crew broke down the news during Wednesday’s episode and discussed what it means for teams going forward.
