WATCH LIVE: NASCAR America at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN: Denny Hamlin in studio

Today’s episode of NASCAR America airs from 6 - 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN and will feature Denny Hamlin live to help preview this weekend’s action at his home track.

Dave Briggs hosts with Steve Letarte in Stamford, Connecticut. Kyle Petty will join them from Burton’s Garage.

On today’s show:

  • Daytona 500 champion Denny Hamlin is in the studio to talk about his 2016 season and racing in front of his home crowd at Richmond International Raceway. There also will be a look at Hamlin’s past with old family photos.
  • Kyle Larson and Ryan Newman were both docked 15 points on Wednesday for failing post-race inspection at Darlington with Newman taking the biggest hit. The Richard Childress Racing driver will now go to Richmond down 22 points to Jamie McMurray for the final playoff spot. We’ll have more on how the penalties impact Newman and the rest of the Chase bubble.

  • Marty Snider checks in from Joe Gibbs Racing with a report on the organization’s plans for Richmond and the Chase. Snider also speaks with Kevin Harvick’s crew chief, Rodney Childers, on how the No. 4 team looks to put a difficult Southern 500 behind them.
