Watch NASCAR America at 6 p.m. ET: Review of Southern 500, NASCAR weekend action

Today’s expanded NASCAR America airs from 6 – 7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Host Dave Briggs is joined by Brian Vickers and Parker Kligerman in the Stamford, Connecticut, studio. Among the topics they’ll discuss as they review this past weekend’s NASCAR racing:

* Martin Truex Jr. wasn’t the most dominant driver at Darlington, but he emerged late to capture the Southern 500. We’ll break down his second win of the season and hear from him in Victory Lane at the track “Too Tough To Tame.”

* Only seven points behind Jamie McMurray for the final spot in the Chase Standings, Ryan Newman had post-race drama late last night when his No. 31 car failed the Laser Inspection Station. NASCAR is expected to announce a punishment later this week. Could this penalty come at a worse time for the driver trying to secure his eighth Chase berth? On today’s show, we will discuss the possible outcomes for Newman and also look at the rest of the drivers on the Chase bubble.

* Same story, different day for Kevin Harvick. The No. 4 car again had pit road issues that couldn’t be overcome, even with a race-high 214 laps led Sunday night. We’ll hear his post-race thoughts, along with those from Greg Zipadelli, the vice president of competition at Stewart-Haas Racing.

* NASCAR America brings you a tease of our favorite feature of the week – Scan All.  Hear snippets of last night’s action from Darlington!
