DARLINGTON, S.C. -- Entering the regular-season finale at Richmond International Raceway, Jamie McMurray is clinging to the final provisional spot in the Sprint Cup playoffs.

McMurray, who finished 15th in Sunday’s Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway, is ranked 13th in the standings and seven points ahead of Ryan Newman.
