Jimmie Johnson is the leader of the Pure Michigan 400 after 100 laps around the 2-mile track.

Johnson has led 30 laps after taking the point following a round of green-flag pit stops that began on Lap 62.

The No. 48 is followed by Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson, Kevin Harvick, Kasey Kahne, Ryan Blaney, Denny Hamlin, Martin Truex Jr., Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski.

Harvick led 33 laps before Truex took the lead on Lap 58 and led seven laps before the pit stops. Johnson then assumed the lead. Logano, the pole-sitter, led the first 24 laps until losing the lead to Harvick on the first restart.

The first yellow was a competition caution at Lap 21.

Kyle Busch caused the second caution on the Lap 26 restart when he got loose out of Turn 4 and spun into the frontstretch grass. Busch runs in 28th, a lap down.

Shortly after the second restart, Alex Bowman, driving the No. 88 for Dale Earnhardt Jr., began experiencing engine problems while running in sixth. Bowman dropped to 29th by Lap 45 while the team assessed the problem before finally heading to the garage. The team quickly fixed an ignition issue, and Bowman returned in 39th, four laps down.

Chris Buescher, who is 30th in the point standings and eligible for the Chase for the Sprint Cup after his Pocono win, runs in 40th, five laps down after dealing with an underpowered engine from the race’s outset. He went a lap down while on pit road during the first caution to fix the No. 34 Ford.
