Brett Moffitt was the perfect example of being in the right place at the right time.

With Timothy Peters and William Byron in a battle for the lead, Moffitt shot up the track and passed on the outside on the final lap to earn his first career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory in Saturday’s Careers For Veterans 200 at Michigan International Speedway.

Peters finished second, followed by Daniel Hemric, Byron and Cameron Hayley.
