Kevin Harvick posted the fastest lap in Tuesday’s NASCAR test at Chicagoland Speedway.
Harvick’s top lap was 185.3 mph. He was followed by Kyle Busch (184.1 mph), Ryan Blaney (183.5), Ryan Newman (182.9) and Regan Smith (182.8).
Fourteen drivers took part in the one-day test. The test was scheduled to be two days but changed with rain in the forecast Wednesday. NASCAR compensated by extending Tuesday’s session.
Each organization was allowed to have one car at the test. Not all organizations took part in the session.
Chicagoland Speedway hosts the opening race of the Sprint Cup playoffs Sept. 18 on NBCSN.
