Rain delays Bristol race Sunday afternoon

A heavy rain at 12:30 p.m. ET has caused today’s Sprint Cup race, delayed from Saturday night, to be further delayed Sunday.

The race was scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. ET on CNBC.

The race was stopped Saturday night after 48 laps. Kyle Busch was in the lead when the red flag came out with Chase Elliott second, Ryan Blaney third, Denny Hamlin fourth and Matt Kenseth fifth.
