WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. – The NASCAR community expressed concern for the well-being of former Xfinity Series driver Bryan Clauson, who seriously was injured in a midget car wreck Saturday night.
According to multiple reports, Clauson was airlifted to Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln, Nebraska, after crashing in the Belleville Midget Nationals in Belleville, Kansas. Clauson flipped before being struck by another car.
Reports said he was in stable condition.
Clauson, 27, made 26 starts for Chip Ganassi Racing from 2007-08 in the Xfinity Series, scoring a career-best fifth at Kentucky Speedway in June 2008.
The Noblesville, Indiana, native also is a three-time starter in the Indianapolis 500, finishing 23rd this year.
