Logano misses second straight Watkins Glen sweep by one position

Joey Logano sealed a second place finish at Watkins Glen despite an early speeding penalty and crazy restarts, but thinks he could have finished on top if he had a little bit more speed.

Soooooo close.

Joey Logano just barely missed out on a second consecutive weekend sweep at Watkins Glen International on Sunday, finishing second in the Cheez-It 355 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race there.

Logano swept both the Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series races at WGI last year. He won the Xfinity Series race there on Saturday and was looking to make it four wins in a row on the twisting road course on Sunday.

Except for one thing: Denny Hamlin was in the right place at the right time to finally earn the first road course win of his Sprint Cup career.

Had Logano not received a speeding penalty early in the race and endured some crazy restarts, he told USA Network that he thinks he could have finished on top if he had a little bit more speed.
