Eight Sprint Cup teams issued warnings at Pocono

NASCAR announced that eight Sprint Cup teams received warnings at Pocono Raceway for inspection issues.

The No. 23 team of David Ragan received warnings for failing the Laser Inspection Station twice before the race and failing template inspection twice before qualifying. That gives the team four warnings, meaning it will lose its pit stall selection this weekend at Watkins Glen.

A team loses its pit stall pick after every fourth warning.

Other teams issued warnings at Pocono:

Kyle Busch’s team received its third warning after failing template inspection three times before qualifying. The team also will lose 15 minutes of practice time at Watkins Glen

Matt Kenseth’s team received its first warning after failing template inspection three times before qualifying. The team also will lose 15 minutes of practice time at Watkins Glen.

Martin Truex Jr.'s team received its second warning after failing template inspection three times before qualifying. The team also will lose 15 minutes of practice time at Watkins Glen.

Regan Smith’s team received its second warning after failing the Laser Inspection Station twice before the race and failing template inspection before qualifying.

Casey Mears’ team received its first warning after failing the Laser Inspection Station twice before qualifying.

Michael McDowell’s team received its third warning after failing the Laser Inspection Station twice before qualifying.

Kyle Larson’s team received its fourth warning after failing template inspection before qualifying. The team lost its pit stall pick at Pocono since the warning was issued before pit stalls were picked.
