Today’s Sprint Cup race at Pocono: start time, weather, TV/radio info and lineup

The Sprint Cup Series is back for its second visit of the season to Pocono Raceway for the Pennsylvania 400.

Here’s all the info you need for today’s race.

(All times Eastern)

START: The command for drivers to start their engines will be at 1:20 p.m. The green flag is scheduled for 1:31 p.m.

DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 160 laps (400 miles) around the 2.5-mile speedway.

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Sprint Cup garage opens at 7:30 a.m. The driver/crew chief meeting is at 11:30 a.m. Driver introductions are at 12:45 p.m.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Lauren Hart will perform the anthem at 1:13 p.m.

TV/RADIO: NBCSN will broadcast the race with its coverage beginning at noon with NASCAR America, followed by Countdown to Green at 1 p.m. and race coverage at 1:30 p.m. Motor Racing Network’s radio broadcast begins at 12:30 p.m. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will have MRN’s broadcast.

FORECAST: The wunderground.com site predicts a temperature of 71 degrees at race time with a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms.

LAST TIME: Kurt Busch won last month, leading the final 32 laps. Chase Elliott led a race-high 51 laps, finishing fourth. In this race last year, Matt Kenseth took the lead on the last lap when Kyle Busch ran out of fuel while leading and won. Busch finished 21st.
